Article 6.5 State Delegates
Motion Text

That Article 6.5, State Delegates, be temporarily amended by adding a new subsection (c) as follows:

Notwithstanding the requirement of subsection (b), the donation requirement may be waived for a specific nominee to Delegate or Alternate if, and only if, all County Affiliate officers then in office vote affirmatively to grant such an exception prior to the County Convention. This exception shall apply only to the individual nominee approved and shall not constitute a general suspension of subsection (b).

Effect and Duration

This temporary amendment shall take effect immediately upon adoption by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of Voting Members in attendance at a Business Meeting, in accordance with Article 9.2.

This temporary amendment shall remain in effect until adjournment of the next County Convention, unless adopted by the County Convention body as a permanent amendment.
📋 Framer’s Intent of this Bylaws Proposal

To allow any good-faith delegates duly sworn in at the Bexar Precinct Convention who might not have met the 2025 donation requirement to serve as delegates from LPBexar to the Libertarian Party of Texas State Convention held April 10–12, 2026, in Abilene.
